Green Tukwila Day

Name: Green Tukwila Day
Date: October 6, 2018
Time: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM PDT
Event Description:

Help us celebrate our 2nd annual Green Tukwila Day! The Green Tukwila Partnership works to restore Tukwila’s parks and urban forests for future generations – and we need your help! Volunteers will prepare Tukwila Park for the fall planting season by  removing Himalayan blackberry and English ivy. All community members are welcome, and no experience is necessary! The event is family friendly and open to all ages. Come see what a difference a committed group of volunteers can make in your community!

What to bring: Come dressed for the weather (rain or shine) in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Wear sturdy closed-toe shoes (rubber boots, hiking/tennis shoes), long sleeves, long pants, warm layers and bring a rain jacket. We’ll have tools and gloves for you to use! Help reduce waste by bringing your own refillable water bottle if you have one.

All ages are welcome, but we encourage all volunteers under the age of 15 to be accompanied by an adult. If you are a volunteer under 18 and attending the event without a parent or guardian, we will need to have a Youth Waiver Form.
